First Commission

So.... the good news is that I've had my first script commissioned for publication, one that'll hopefully be published in the next issue of FutureQuake.

The artist who'll be breathing life into my script is Darren Mullen, who like me, will find this being his first published work.  A steep learning curve for us both!

Heres' an example of Darren's work:-

For my sc-fi based script, his style is perfect!

The Ending (with a twist)

So how do you go about getting a sequential comic script commissioned?
With some difficulty, a lot of patience, a bit of luck and a great deal of perseverance.

The best starting point is an anthology type comic and there's none much finer than those published by FutureQuake Press.
The FutureQuake comic itself comprises of several short, 4-6 page complete stories in a similar vein to those seen in 2000AD's Future Shocks.

Let me be honest, creating a short comic script is pretty difficult.  Creating one with a 'twist' type ending that's not obvious, not boring, not irrelevant and not been done before is very, very difficult.

Don't believe me?  Go on....try it yourself.
